About me

I am a BACP accredited counsellor, holding a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis (TA) and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, obtained at Peter Symonds' College in Winchester.

I have a post-graduate Diploma in Transactional Analysis Studies, awarded by the Metanoia Institute in London.

I have a Diploma in Supervision, awarded by The Link Centre in Plumpton, and have been supervising trainees and qualified therapists for about 7 years.

I have extensive experience of working with clients individually, small groups and couples and have accumulated a lot of experience in 16 years of practice.

I work for the NHS and for Employee Assosted Programmes (EAPs) as well as in my private practice.

I come from a scientific background and I worked as Pharmacist until 2002. I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology.

I am bilingual and can work either in English or in Italian.

Ongoing Development

I have a passion for my work and I am very active in my learning and involvement in the therapeutic community.

Since the end of my formal training I have deepened my knowledge of Relational Transactional Analysis, working especially with anxiety and depression, and teaching Mindfulness.

The more I study and practice, the more I am convinced that to really help people, any knowledge has to be accompanied by compassion and real commitment from the therapist to find ways to reach their clients where they are at, and from there move forward together.

Experience

I have been in practice for more than 16 years, working with clients from all backgrounds, individually and in groups. I also work with couples to resolve relationships problems.

I have come across a variety of issues, including self-esteem, addictions, sexual abuse, relationship problems, inappropriate anger, academic or work difficulties, bereavement and loss.

Since 2012 I have been teaching Mindfulness skills for wellbeing.

I have started offering clinical supervision in 2017 and I was awarded a Diploma in Supervision at The Link Centre in 2018.

My involvement within the Transactional Analysis community

I was active in the professional community for many years since my early days in training and I very much enjoyed meeting colleagues, promoted our work and collaborated in projects of all kinds.

I was involved with the organisation UKATA (UK Association for Transactional Analysis) in committee and Council work. I was awarded the UKATA Medal in April 2016 for my contributions to their professional community.

Since then I have refocused on my private practice working with clients and supervision.
